A group of protesters affiliated with a radical leftist group ShutdownDC, swarmed the Washington D.C. home of Senator Josh Hawley (R) last night. They were protesting the Missouri Senator’s vow to object to votes cast in the Electoral College on Wednesday.

The protesters chanted about democracy being “under attack” and, according to Hawley, “screamed threats, vandalized, and tried to pound open our door.”

Hawley was not home at the time – he was in Missouri. But his wife Erin and their newborn baby, who the Senator says is unable to travel, were inside the home.

Hawley, who was among the first to declare his plan to object to votes cast in the Electoral College from states were widespread allegations of election fraud exist, vowed to carry on and not be intimidated.
