Alan Hostetter, a former law enforcement official with over 30 years of experience as a law enforcement officer and private investigator working for governmental agencies, believes he and others like him involved in the U.S. Capitol protests are being used as pawns in a global struggle for power and control. Hostetter was indicted last week on charges stemming from the unrest that took place in Washington, D.C. on January 6th.
He says the charges, which include being in restricted areas of the Capitol and conspiracy to obstruct the certification of the election, are politically motivated. Hostetter also firmly believes, especially in light of recent news reports, that the entire incident was a false-flag event organized and instigated by Deep State law enforcement agencies and other Deep State operatives, including politicians from both major parties. “It was a huge entrapment scheme,” he told ITN exclusively this week.
“When you read my public indictment, that anybody can read, it’s just a series of half-truths, statements taken out of context and one massive lie that I conspired with others to commit the crimes I’m accused of,” he added.
“The ‘Big Lie’ is the conspiracy. There was absolutely no conspiracy to do anything illegal or anything at all other than have a peaceful protest. And like I’ve said publicly a million times, I never entered [the Capitol] Building. I never engaged in one act of violence. I didn’t destroy any property and didn’t conspire with anyone to do anything other than engage in a peaceful protest. And the government knows that. They absolutely know that.”
Hostetter is a resident of Orange County, California, where officials are being accused of corruption and widespread abuse of power because of their insistence on extending a County-wide state of emergency due to the Covid19 pandemic – despite plummeting infection and hospitalization rates.
That emergency declaration gives officials near plenary powers to impose lockdowns and allocate public funds with little oversight.
Earlier this year, for example, the County Board of Supervisors attempted to implement a vaccine passport system that would restrict access to public areas and businesses to residents who cannot display a positive vaccine status on a smartphone application.
The Board was forced to back down on the system after a fierce public backlash. Residents however, point to other actions by the Board over the last several months as proof it is not being responsive to their concerns and that the overarching plans for implementing such a system haven’t changed at all.
Hostetter has been very vocal in the effort to block that passport system. He believes that his fierce opposition to Gov. Gavin Newsom, the lock-down orders in California, and all manner of corruption within Orange County government likely put him on the radar of what he refers to as “deep state federal law enforcement operatives” over a year ago.
On May 11th Supervisor Katrina Foley, tweeting about anti-vaccine passport protesters, wrote “I notice a few people there who took part in the insurrection. These are the same people who deny Covid, oppose masks, and stormed the United States Capitol.”
A month later – almost to the day – Hostetter was indicted.

Hostetter was present at the Capitol on January 6th and says warrants were served at his California home on January 27th by federal officials who seized his phone and computer. Up until last week he was not charged and there were no further developments in his case.
Since January 6th, and especially since the FBI raided his home and pulled him over at gunpoint on a California Freeway, he has been outspoken in his criticism of how security was handled around the Capitol to prepare for the January 6th rally and protest. Even a rookie police officer, he says, could easily identify glaring breaks in crowd-control and civil unrest mitigation protocols that day. He says those are the clearest indications the unrest that day was, at least in some part, staged.
Hostetter said the Senate Hearings in early March on the Capitol Riot were pure “Kabuki Theatre.” He found it odd that in both former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Sund’s 8-page letter to Nancy Pelosi written in early February, and during the testimony of other law enforcement leaders during the Senate Hearings, they claimed at least part of the reason for the chaos and confusion of January 6th was they hadn’t received any intelligence warning of a “violent, well coordinated attack” on the Capitol.
“Considering Washington D.C., is a hotbed of BLM / ANTIFA activity, how much intelligence would one need to realize there was a potential for violence and mass chaos if a massive counter-protest against Trump supporters were to occur?” Hostetter says.
“If they had simply dropped that ‘unscalable’ 8-foot chain link fence topped with razor wire around the Capitol building 24 hours before the Joint Session, rather than 24 hours after, there would have been no riot and no American citizens rotting away in solitary confinement for months now. Hell, they had the entire U.S. government sitting under one roof on one of the most consequential days in American history and they protected them with bike racks?”
Hostetter also noted that on November 2nd, one day before the election, this same 8-foot chain link fence was dropped around the White House as a precautionary measure even though there was no protest scheduled to take place around the White House that day. Hostetter, who himself has specialized training and law enforcement experience in “Special Events Management” and handling large crowds says, “the security plan was ridiculous, intentionally weak and is further proof the Deep State powers-that-be in Washington D.C. were in on the false-flag event.”
Commenting further on what he described as Chief Sund’s “CYA, blame shifting letter” to Pelosi, Hostetter said he found it “mind-boggling” that when describing the events of the day that caused so many challenges for him Sund never mentioned the fact that one of his officers was involved in an officer involved shooting.
“It’s unbelievable!” Hostetter says. “One of the most iconic and tragic events of the day happening right in the middle of this so-called ‘insurrection,’ and Sund never mentions this in his after-action report to Pelosi, nor does he ever mention Ashli Babbitt’s name.” Sund did however, mention the tragic death of Officer Brian Sicknick in the opening lines of the letter.
“Right now, myself and thousands of others across the country, some who are incarcerated in horrible conditions, are nothing more than pawns in a global chess game being played between good guys and bad guys. There is definitely a group of people needing to be investigated, arrested and imprisoned for the Capitol Riot. But it’s not us. It’s the many high level Deep State officials who organized and kicked off this false flag event, many of whom just happen to wear badges.”
This could be a sad day if the government is allowed to abuse their power at the expense of our good citizens like Alan Hostetter who has been heroic enough to call bullshit on politicians attempting to take away our freedom of speech. This is another example of why Newsom needs to be recalled and replaced in CA.
Why we need term limits and politicians need to be reminded and understand they serve the good people of America. They need to hear us.

I was at the Jan 6 peaceful celebration on the capitol grounds, spoke with so many of the hundreds of thousands, of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds who were there to peacefully support the senate in making the right decision to provide for examination of the electoral results from a number of states. Only to hear congressional officials and media reports completely characterize the peaceful gathering completely contrary to what actually transpired. The theater of national guard troops used as props to take the capitol grounds away from the american people is despicable! Alan Hostetter is an American patriot in every sense of the word. Americans truly need to wake up to the Orwellian, psychological operation (fear) being foisted on the american people must push back on this hostile, leftist, authoritarian, globalist shredding of the constitution. I personally know Alan Hostetter. Alan has been speaking out against the loss of freedoms since the shutdown began. He’s an outspoken leader to help educate and activate others to wake up to what’s happening. This man is an ex-chief of police and yoga instructor who respects law and order and the idea of peace and justice. He’s never advocated violence for achieving results to solving problems, instead he uses his voice of reason and first amendment rights. He has arranged and been a part of many peaceful protests that I have attended and never have I heard him claim violence was the answer. He did not act as a domestic terrorist or insurrectionist on January 6th. I believe this was a false flag event against him and others who peacefully attended the January 6th rally to honor President Trump’s request to attend. Neither President Trump, nor Alan Hostetter did or said anything to incite violence that fateful day. I encourage all the public to do your own research about this event on respected news sources to learn the truth. I have met Mr. Hostetter on several occasions and have found him to be kind, thoughtful, and intelligent. I have never heard him mention or encourage violence of any sort. He simply loves our country!
It’s a rare time for me to find it difficult to express myself, but I’m having great difficult with that right now. I’m simply stunned and shocked that this is happening to Mr. Hostetter, for it reminds me far too much of what Hitler did in 1930’s Germany, as well as what’s happened in countries all over the world that were taken over by socialist / communist regimes.
There is a lot of video footage out there that proves there was no insurrection. The Capitol Police let people in. I’ve now seen two different video clips where an ANTIFA member was doing something destructive and a Trump supporter stopped them from continuing their vandalism. When a window was broken by an ANTIFA member, the Capitol Police were ordered to leave the window un-guarded and un-defended. There is a ton of video footage that shows this was not an insurrection.
It seems to me that these arrests and indictments are just a distraction from something else.
What is it that those in charge of filing these false claims and charges don’t want the American public to know? Why isn’t that footage being released to the American public and the world? Please. Tell us. Why?
