The Conservative Momma: “You have to reach people emotionally”

Rachel the Conservative Momma believes the key to waking people up politically is to reach them emotionally first.

“People in general are moved with emotion,” she told ITN yesterday. “And they vote emotionally. And they make decisions often, sadly, emotionally. If you want to reach them you have to reach them emotionally. And then you can share the facts and the stats and the data and all the stuff that backs up what you’re saying.”

“My passion is the middle. We can’t win unless we get the middle. So that’s kind of my thing – reach them on an emotional level and then hook ‘em,” she says laughingly.

Rachel creates videos that satirize American politics. She began to publish them in earnest in early 2020 when the Covid pandemic first broke.

“I started to ask questions. And I started to see this extreme backlash for asking questions, and I’m like, well, why are you so mad? Why are you upset about me asking questions? Don’t you guys wanna know too?” she says.

“And I realized no one did want to know. They just wanted to do what they were told. And not ask questions and fall in line and I’m just not designed that way.”

“And then I started to see published immunologists and virologists being censored and kicked off of social media for speaking opposite of what the narrative was. And I was like, why can’t they talk? We’ve literally narrowed it down to one doctor in the world,” she says, referring to Anthony Fauci, “which is turning out to be a complete fraud.”

“And look what’s happened over the last year. People haven’t asked questions at all. It’s been like, ‘just go with it,’ is what they’re telling us. Want me to walk around with bubble all over myself, whatever you say! It’s just…noo. Why?”

A classically trained actor Rachel began working for political campaigns several years ago. In 2016 she served as the co-chair of Donald Trump’s campaign in Colorado. It was only after Mr. Trump entered office that she stepped in front of the camera.

“I didn’t get in front of the camera until [Trump] won and I saw Madonna talking about blowing up the White House. And I was like no, we’re not gonna blow up the White House.”

Leftists are often the target of Rachel’s satire, whom she says, contrary to the labels they choose for themselves, are actually neither liberal nor progressive.

“A progressive is something, they want to move forward. But if you look at this critical race theory stuff it’s all about division and segregation and not looking at people’s character instead of looking at their gender or their skin color and that’s not moving us forward. That’s not progress. That’s taking us back. That is erasing all the progress that we’ve made.”

“So I don’t like using progressive because that’s not progressive, that’s not progress. It’s a misuse of the word. And I don’t want to allow the left to get away with that,” she says.

“The left is all about telling you what to do. The left is all about controlling you. The left is all about big government up in your business controlling every aspect of your life. And that’s not liberalism.”

Although critical in her observations of those who fail to question what they’re being told by the mainstream media and others, she believes love is the way to ultimately bring about the change she believes society needs. A sentiment informed in large part by her Christian faith.

“Two and a half, three weeks ago, I was in the car with my daughter and we were at a stop light. And there was a man, he had gloves on his hands and he was alone in his car with a mask on. And my first reaction is oh my gosh you’re such an idiot! You moron! How stupid are you?” she says jokingly.

“And then, I’m a Christian, and God just totally convicted my heart and he’s like, he’s doing that because he’s really fearful. And I felt sad. And I told my daughter let’s pray for him. Let’s pray that the fear that is on him just leaves. Because if you are alone in your car wearing a mask you’re scared. That is someone that is totally walking in fear,” she said.

“I think that’s what happened to a lot of our world and our country, sadly, is that they’ve been paralyzed by fear. And fear is so gripping that it will paralyze people to the point where they can’t think and they can’t question.”

“And the only way to counter that is to love them and to continue to speak the truth because the truth sets people free. The truth eventually breaks those chains of bondage and fear that people are walking in…and I think we just have to keep speaking the truth and eventually it starts to sink in.”
